This pioneering foundation involved risk-taking and sacrifice. Arriving in the remote goldfields the sisters from Ireland and New Zealand had never experienced such challenging conditions. Whilst we had nothing, we relied on the providence of God and had everything we needed.
Whilst we have left many places, we have left at the right time, known when to go, and have maintained deep relationships. Some of our schools have closed and some have been handed on to the lay community who we taught.
Through the ongoing change our living of our religious community life will continue to reflect who we are
